A hearty welcome to this Sikhism website. Sikhism is one of the richest religion, founded in 15th century, by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru Ji. This has been continued to progress with 10 Sikh Gurus, along with Eleventh Guru, who is continued forever, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, as Famous Holy book. Baba Gurditta Ji, is a famous Sikh saint, was the eldest son of the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. This website is dedicated to his life journey, associated holy places and holy events, which are being celebrated in his memory.

Baba Gurditta Ji (15 November 1613 – 15 March 1638), a Sikh Saint, was the eldest son of the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji (1595 – 1644). Baba Gurditta Ji was born on 15 November 1613 to Mata Damodari at Daroli Bhai, District Firozpur in Punjab, India. Now days this holy place Daroli Bhai, falls in Moga district, of Punjab state, India. Baba Gurditta Ji was married to Mata Nihal Kaur Ji (Ananti). He was married on 17th April, 1621 to Ananti alias Natti, daughter of Bhai Rama of Batala, an ancient town in Gurdaspur district

BABA JI HISTORY

Gurdit, the eldest son of Guru HarGobind Ji, had acquired a high reputation, but he died before his father, leaving two sons, one of whom succeeded to the apostleship. For some allusions to Gurdit or Gurditta, refer to Dabistan, ii, 281-282. His memory is yet fondly preserved

MATA NIHAL KAUR JI

Mata Natti Ji is also called Mata Nihal Kaur whose name before her wedding was Ananti Ji, is also referred to in chronicles as Nihalo and Mata Bassi, was the wife of Baba Gurditta Ji. She was the daughter of Bhai Rama and Sukhdevi, a Khatri Sikh couple of Batala

ASSOCIATED HOLY PLACES

Gurdwara Baba Gurditta Ji is a historical and holy place for Sikhism. Baba Gurditta Ji visited Chandpur Rurki with two associates “Baba Jodh Singh Ji and Baba Kesra Singh Ji”. They stayed one night along with their horse. This Gurdwara has two Samadhi‘s for two associatestwo Samadhis for two associates, held in main Gurudwara Sahib Ji

In 1626, Baba Gurditta, the eldest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib founded the town of Kiratpur in the lower Sivalik hills. Baba Sri Chand was given the honor to lay the foundation stone of the city.It is said that follower of Baba Gurditta ji, who visit the holy Gurudwara of Kiratpur Sahib; they also visit the holy shrine of Baba Bhudhan Shah
